Free Program: Marsh Ambassadors at Virginia Aquarium!

A great, FREE program just for teens at The Virginia Aquarium is accepting applications!

This program is a FREE, 3-day, grant-funded program sponsored by Canon and Wild River Outfitters to bring awareness about salt marsh ecology to local students – rising 9th through 12th graders.

Students will be selected to participate in this program and will be taken kayaking in Owls Creek, participate in hands-on watershed experiments, go exploring in the Owls Creek salt marsh, and tour the Virginia Aquarium’s Marsh Pavilion. Once they have completed the program these students will create displays about their experience, and have the opportunity to educate Aquarium guests about being Marsh Ambassadors!

Please email [email protected] with questions about the program. For a copy of the Marsh Ambassadors Application CLICK HERE. Applications are due JUNE 17, 2015.
