Fun in the Dirt! Gardening with Kids

McDonald Garden Center locations in Chesapeake, Hampton and Virginia Beach have added events for the kids to their 2012 calendar!

Upcoming fun this winter/spring includes:

“A Real Tweet: Kid’s Birdfeeder Day” on Saturday, January 21 at 11am. Kids will make their own birdfeeder! Cost $5 (Hampton, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach)

“Fairytale Gardens- Create a Fairytale & Gnome Garden” on Saturday, February 4 at 11am. Kids can plant their own mini gardens! Cost $20 (Virginia Beach only)

“Tater Tots- Grow Your Own Potatoes!” on Saturday, February 11 at 11am. Kids will plant their own potatoes! Cost $5 (Hampton, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach)

“Berrylicious- Grown Your Own Strawberries!” on Saturday, March 24 at 11am. Kids will plant their own strawberries! Cost $8 (Hampton, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach)

“Lil’ Bunny Veggie Garden- Grow Your Own Veggies!” on Saturday, April 7 at 11am. Kids can plant their own vegetables and watch them grow. Cost $8 (Hampton, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach)
