The Strawberry Festival was one of the first local festivals I attended in Hampton Roads, even before we were officially living in the area. If you haven't been it is worth the trip!
On-site at the festival you will find food (much of it strawberry themed!), lots of great local vendors, and tons of family-friendly fun. Clowns, face painting, carnival rides, livestock, music, fire truck water demonstrations, dog show, a pie eating contest, pig racing, Civil War Museum exhibit, and of course the Parade. The full schedule of events is not yet posted but Click HERE to check for updates.
When: The Festival runs both Saturday and Sunday, May 23-24, 2015 from 9am to 7pm. The Parade will start at 10am on the morning of Saturday May 23th. There are no pets allowed at the Festival.
Where: You can find the Pungo Strawberry Festival at 1776 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
Cost: Parking is $10 and admission to the festival itself is FREE.
Make sure you leave yourself time for parking and for the traffic that can happen with such a popular event.
