The annual Umoja Festival in Portsmouth celebrates African-American heritage and unity. Come out to experience a taste of the art, entertainment, music, and food of Africa.

This is a family friendly festival and there will be a Kids Corner featuring face painting, bounce house inflatables, games, crafts, a climbing wall and more. Kids activities will take place Saturday 12-5pm, and Sunday 2-5pm.

All activities at the Umoja Festival are FREE and open to the public.

The festival will take place Friday, May 23 - Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion 16 Crawford Circle, Portsmouth, VA 23704.

Hours will be Friday 5:30 - 11pm, Saturday 12 - 11pm and Sunday 2-7pm.
